St. Patrick’s Day has always been a special moment of reflection and celebration for me. While my connection to Ireland is distant—stretching back generations—it was an important tradition for my grandmother’s generation, something they cherished and honored. Today, celebrating St. Patrick’s is my way of keeping those memories alive and recognizing the traditions that shaped my family’s past.

Green has always found its way into my art, whether as a dominant monochrome, like in Art is My Escape from Hidden Escapes or A Grounding Moment from The Enchanted Garden, or as a vibrant accent, as seen in White Flag from Disco Nap or Flying Fairies & Behind The Lights from The Enchanted Garden. To me, green is a color of renewal, a connection to nature, and a sense of freshness that breathes life into every piece. It’s a hue that speaks of grounding and balance while also carrying a spark of energy and movement.

In art, green has often symbolized rebirth, growth, and harmony. From the rich landscapes of Impressionist paintings to the bold, contemporary interpretations of abstract works, it remains a color that evokes emotion and depth. It’s no wonder that it continues to be a defining element in my creative process.
